Hie every one,

Arrived in Houston, Texas at the Rice university on Sunday evening. We were given a warm welcome, its so beautiful out here.Am so humbled to be a part of the rice community.I feel so at home .Our first meeting was on Tuesday,  we learnt more about each other.Learnt about safety in the OEDK because that is where most of our work takes place.Took some quizzes so that we can prove we understand everything, Had an ice breaker(where were given four pages of a news paper which we use to build a stand for two heavy books.the group with the tallest stand won, apparently my group won ) and we went to the Houston zoo in the afternoon.Moved around and played games.On Wednesday was shown around the ODEK, took some quizzes, had cultural exchange presentations.From  Thursday till today been going through the engineering design process by tackling a project which is  coming up with an animal enrichment device. The animal is an anteater.The enrichment device is to improve its physical and natural capabilities. we went to the zoo where we interviewed the zoo keeper to get clarification on the design specifications. we had a lot of fun looking at olive and Pablo the anteaters.

we got back and brain stormed on the solutions,did research on the internet,came up with the design criteria, Design Context Review, Pair wise Comparison Chart, decomposition etc.Above are pictures of  anteaters ,the second picture is showing some of the solutions we came across .Looking forward to finishing the project and the next projects to come.thumbs up to all the teams i have been a part of.Go teams!!!
