Every week ends with new experiences and am gaining a lot.
i have been continuing working on my cervical cancer project, the interesting part about it is that we have been able to try all our different solutions of coming up with a cervix model. these solutions are making model out of clay, scanning them and then printing using 3D printers, the second solution was to make the models using solid works and print them, lastly we thought of making them out of clay and then coming up with the negatives using silicon rubber and liquid plastic. below are the models that we came up with using these different methods indicating the different stages of cancer.
We have also been able to test our final solution for the color change using heat sensitive paint. Am just excited because our solution has worked pretty good.
This week i have also learned a lot on how to use solid work to come up with different kinds of diagrams and how to use 3D scanner, and 3D printers. The whole week was just so great and i have gained a lot.
We are now preparing to meet our client Sonia Gomez this coming week so that she can get to see our different models on the different stages of cancer and again on how we are getting to make the color change for the precancerous and cancer cervix’s and of course get her opinion on our low fidelity prototype models that we have come up with before we move forward to making the final model.
